I am a Registered Nurse who is presently working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and also pursuing a MSc in Nursing Education. Being in the education field has afforded me opportunities to have exposure to how technology is being used in education. In our Trinidad classrooms especially in the field of nursing education we have moved from the traditional chalk and board classroom to using overhead slide projectors, to multimedia projectors, to accessing course materials online and finally to having classes online.
Online classroom is the delivery mode via which the MSc in Nursing Education is being delivered. It has given me an opportunity to interact with lecturers and fellow students without physically being in the same place, thereby creating new experiences with technology. This blog is an example of my new interaction. Previously I only heard about blogs but now I have actually created one, which I will share with others.
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, I believe that in terms of knowledge and experience with technology, my score is 5. I intend to use this blog and NURS 6005 to learn more about technology and education.
Towards Progression!!!!!πŸ’œ

  1. Hello Rajdaye. I like the fact that the we are currently being exposed to different kinds of technologies that will be helpful to us in our future as nurse educators. I also believe that my knowledge is not much when it comes to teaching with technologies but as you have stated above, this course of ours, NURS 6005 has a lot to offer and I am also interested as you are in this course, of which, creating a blog is one. All the best for your future career in nursing education.
